I will be looking at bad influences and how they inform our lifestyle and the effects that they bring. I want to inform people on the effects that alcohol and smoking have on the human body. I will be creating promotional material for the British heart Foundation advertising the dangers smoking and alcohol has on the body, with long term and short term consequences. I will design these graphically, I really want to explore graphic design and this will allow me to develop my skills further using photoshop and illustrator.

Society has accepted smoking and drinking yet they don’t accept the inconveniences that come along with it. I will be researching the harmful factors of drink and smoking. How they can be addictive and how different artist's and charities approach the matter.

 

Jonathan Tran’s unique style of graphic illustration is perfect for my project as his work will be able to make my work style stand out and will reflect my message throughout my work as well.

I want to improve my Photoshop skills. I will explore  digital stencilling techniques, looking to improve on the finish and refinement compared to previous work.I will work with digital drawing tools such as a graphics tablet, and the pen tool on photoshop so my lines are shapers, cleaner and more precise to illustrate with. I will explore both practical and digital ways of doing this. To combine these I can scan my practical work into photoshop and edit them digitally to enhance the colours and make lines bolder.  

 

I will be evaluating my work throughout including; one to ones with a teacher that specialises within my specialism to see what they would suggest I should work on and improve. Adding annotations to my samples describing the process and how I can add it into my work to get my message across to the audience.  Evaluations after every set of development pieces saying what went well, what I can improve on, what I liked/didn’t like, what I will be taking further into my project and what I won’t be continuing with. Peer assessing to get other people opinions on my project. Getting their opinion on whether my theme and message is coming through in my work. Getting critical responses of what other people think of my work and what they suggest I could improve on or add. For this I will be looking at a questionnaire that is fitted to my project that my peers can answer and will be displayed in my book so I can look back at it and see what I should improve on. Then including a final evaluation at the end of the project to sum up what skills and techniques worked and which didn’t.
